Bust a move :)

We had our second ultrasound done and it was amazing! We were so shocked to see how much baby Posey has changed in just 4 weeks. The baby actually looked human, with the most adorable profile ( of course the cutest we have ever laid eyes on ).

Here is the appointment in a nutt shell :

I laid down on the table, pulled up my shirt and here came the warm gel. Round and round she pressed on my tummy with the wand showing us all the different parts and views of our sweet baby. And boy, let me know tell you, if this ultrasound was just a sneek peak into our future, we are going to have a very active baby on our hands. The baby was kicking, waving hello to mommy and daddy, and even drinking its own pee ( cute, huh?!?). Kevin could not believe the baby was moving around so much , he even asked the lady if that was really the baby moving , lol.  Of course, since we have such a busy bean on our hands, we could not get the correct measurements we needed, but our sonographer assured us baby Posey looked great and that we have a beautiful umbilical cord ( whatever that means ). Everytime we see our miracle we fall more in love. I knew pregnancy was going to be one amazing journey, but never did I expect something this wonderful!

Baby on the brain!

Everything I do now I am doing for our baby! It is crazy how much things change when you are living for someone else! Words can't describe how I feel! I try to explain to my husband but he doesnt understand, lol. Eveything I eat, drink, read..... EVERYTHING I do is for our baby! Baby is on the brain and I dont see it leaving anytime soon! I have already read What to Expect When you Expecting, joined 2 mommy EDD December Clubs, and just finished reading Belly Laughs ( which by the way is a hilarious read and I encourage everyone to read it). I just love reading about my baby's development day by day and reading and hearing other womens stories of their pregnancy. In a wierd way, you feel like you have an unspoken bond with these women even though you dont know one thing about them besides the fact that they are pregnant and are due around the time you are due! It's nice to have other women to talk to and share things with that sometimes everyone else doesnt want to hear or is sick of hearing :) It's all baby talk, and I eat up every sentence of it!

WTE makes your babies growth fun too. Who doesnt love comparing there baby to the size of a fruit?! As I am writing this I am in my 12th week pf pregnancy ( 11 wks and 1 day ) and my baby has graduated from a lime to a large plum this week! Yay for large plums!

Large Plum in all and I  am patiently waiting for my bump- although I have been extremly bloated like a fatty since I have found out- I want my REAL bump already!

Here are some pictures of me at 5 weeks and one of me in my 11th week!
And remember I may look fat, but I'm fat and happy with a baby in my belly :)

Our First Doctors visit

We were so excited to be able to get the process started. We wanted to make sure we were doing everything right! Our first visit, was a little less exciting and more informational. We went over all of the does and do nots, filled out a bunch of paper work and had labs drawn for all of our blood work. Once that was all done they scheduled us for our first OB appointment and Ultrasound-- how excting that was!

First OB appointment and First Ultrasound 8 weeks and 4 days pregnant -- April 29,2011

We were so excited for this day to finally get here, we were about to see our baby for the first time. Of course, being the worry wart that I am, I was a complete wreck thinking of all of the worst possible situations and of course my husband, being the postive  patty that he is , he was reassuring me that everything was going to be perfect and it was!!

We saw our baby for the first time that morning and what an amazing site. No one can prepare you for the rush of emotions you get from seeing your baby on that screen! Of course I cried my eyes out and my husband had a smile on his face like he was seeing the perfect wave right in front of him. The ultrasound made the pregnancy more real and it was the most amazing thing we have seen ( for now, we are sure when the baby comes the ultrasound will be nothing but a faded memory )! The little heart was just beating away perfectly and the baby measured just right! Ahh what a sight of relief. We can't wait to be able to see our little one again, our next ultasound is May 27, 2011.

-Baby Posey 8 wks and 4 days-

Finding out we were Pregnant!

It was a rainy Thursday, March 31,2011 to be exact and I was three days late on my period!! I was talking with a friend at work and told her that I thought this month could of been it! She encouraged me to just take a test. So at lunch, I went to Walgreens. Ran through the pouring down rain and walked to the aisle that I have been down so many times! But I had a feeling this trip was different. I picked up a pack of First response pregnancy test and nervously drove home. As soon as I got home I ran to the bathroom and peed on the stick. I closed my eyes and waited for the results, being such a nervous wreck I peeked at that test and long behold the positive line was there before the negative line even had time to appear!! I threw the test on the ground and screamed! I was all alone and started pacing around the house with the largest grin in the world! I felt like a giddy 5 year old who just got an adorable puppy! I immediately called  the daddy to be to share the good news, unfortunately he was unable to answer because he was in a class for work. Being so excited, I just had to tell someone so I called Aunt Katie ( my childhood best friend) and spilled the beans. We both screamed on the phone! I think she was just as excited as I was about the news! We talked for awhile and then Kevin called, I clicked over to answer and finally tell him the wonderful news! As I was telling him on the phone, I had also sent him a text message of the picture of the postivite pregnancy test. He looked down saw the picture and could not believe his eyes. As I was telling him, he thought I was kidding because it was the day before April Fool's Day. Finally, he realized I was not kidding. When I got off of work that day I went straight to Books A Million  and purchased the book "Pregnancy Day by Day " for me and the book  " Dude, Your going to be a dad" for him. So when he finally got home from work I had the book and the postive pregancy test waiting for him on the kitchen table. He was still in disbelief, but completely ecstatic. He said that he just wanted to stand on the top of the highest building and yell to everyone that he is going to be a dad!! Since we were both bursting to share the good news we decided to have our immediate family over that night to let them in on our new exciting secret. My dad, sister , his parents and sister ( Missy)  all came over and we were able to tell them the baby news! Everyone was so excited! Aunt  Devonee cried her eyes out when she got the news, she was so very excited! I called my mom earlier that day and shared the news. She was relieved she finally gets to be a grandma! Everyone gave us there blessings and congratulations! Our family was growing by one and everyone was so thrilled to be a part of it! We always knew when the day came that we found out we were expecting would be amazing but never did we think just how amazing it truly is to find out you are going to be a mommy and daddy! We are giving our thanks to God!
